Md. Arif Hossain is the CEO and executive director of Farming Future Bangladesh (FFB), a science based communication and community engagement organization aimed at improving access to modern agricultural innovations including crop biotechnology for sustainable food security in Bangladesh. He is also working as the Country Lead and Coordinator-Advocacy and Communication for the Feed the Future Global Biotech Potato Partnership in Bangladesh. Arif is a Visiting Scientist and Visiting Fellow at the Department of Global Development at Cornell University.
Arif is a 2015 Alliance for Science Global Leadership Fellow and remains the Lead, Bangladesh Alliance for Science. He is the former communications director of the Feed the Future South Asia Eggplant Improvement Partnership. He previously worked as the senior specialist in the outreach and communication department at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in addition to his successful employment in Plan International, Transparency International Bangladesh, and other national and international development organizations.
Arif is passionate about science communication, loves photography, and playing guitar.
